Brydon Brothers Saddlery

Saddlery-Saddle Maker
Opened 1902

Andrew, Robert and Richard Brydon were brothers who created Brydon Brothers Saddlery. They had early training at the Lichtenberger firm, but opened their shop in 1902 at 239 South Main in Los Angeles. While they produced a general line of harness, equestrian equipment and supplies, they are best remembered for their cowboy saddles, chaps, and related gear. The Brydon shop opened at a time when the movie industry was just getting started. In time William S Hart, Tom Mix, Buck Jones and many other performers became customers of the firm.
