The Brown Kahle Saddlery, one of the oldest saddle shops in Southern California, began business in San Diego in 1886, setting up shop in a brick masonry building downtown. Recently scheduled to be torn-down, the historic building was completely reconstructed into a new hotel, thanks to San Diego redevelopment.
