Louie “Cowboy” Traylor was born in Camp County, Texas before commencing multiple incarcerations in the Texas State Prison from 1924-25 and again in 1929-1930. In the early 1930s, he moved to Rosharon, Texas and opened his first blacksmith shop at Sandy Point – later relocating to Houston where he lived and applied his trade until his death in 1972.
