The most beloved cowgirl in pioneer rodeo, Mabel won more world titles than any other cowgirl in the business. Combining showmanship with feminine poise, the diminutive cowgirl competed in steer, bronc and trick riding, plus steer roping--only one of two gals who ever roped and busted steers. As the winner of the prestigious McAlpin trophy in 1922 (Cheyenne’s All-Around Cowgirl), she was a fan favorite at the First Madison Square Garden Rodeo in 1922 and an unequaled Queen of the Pendleton Roundup in 1927.
