C. Clyde Squires

Artist
1883-1970

Squires is well listed with proved success as an exhibiting artist but best known as a romantic illustrator for national magazines including covers for pulp westerns. He is the grandson of a Utah pioneer, studying at NY School of Art before selling his first drawing to Life Magazine in 1906. Squires’ was also a charter member of the prestigious Society of Illustrators.
