A native from Mexico, Salazar painted actively in the middle 1900s. Even though information on him is scarce, his works have been published in several books including La Charreria: Tradicion Mexicana. In this important charreria book, Salazar's painting entitled En la Faena is positioned promi­nently under­neath a painting by the renowned, Ernesto Icaza.
