Alan Rogers

LKL: Kansas City, MO

Father worked as a cattle buyer in Kansas City Stockyards where 7-year-old Alan saw his first pair of longhorns thus developing a lifelong interest in the history, color, growth patterns and mountings. Mounted his first set of Texas cattle horns at age 15 and later, through extensive research, perfected a technique for repairing and restoring old mounts. Today, Rogers has expanded his art to horn furniture and western-style mirrors. He and his wife Donna reside in Kansas City, MO where he maintains an extensive library on the subject in addition to his private collection of over 250 pairs of old horns.
