Came from Mexico to work for DE Walker in Visalia, CA around 1880. Moved to Elko around 1900 becoming an integral part of GS Garcia’s legendary saddlery and the Godfather of Garcia’s children. Considered by many to be one of the best bit and spur makers of all time. Artists and craftsmen alike would travel from all over the country to Elko to learn from the renowned Herrera.
