Heinie Hartwig

Artist
1937

Born in 1937, Heinie grew up in California’s Santa Clara County, where he taught himself to paint by studying the “Old Masters.” He began painting full-time in the early 1970s, developing an affinity for western subjects. His innate ability to capture light and color is often captured in his romanticized Indian encampments.
