Bill Gollings was born in a mining camp in Idaho and grew up in Chicago attending the Academy of Fine Arts. He traveled West to Montana for 5 years branding cattle and driving a stage, completely immersed in a classic western lifestyle. Settled in Sheridan, WY. Gollings works are known for their accurate accountings of the Old West, influenced by Frederic Remington and Joseph Henry Sharp.
