Ron Crooks

Ron Crooks is a painter of nostalgic western genre subjects. He enrolled in the Otis Art Institute at age 19, completing only three weeks before being drafted into the Army. Two and a half years later he returned home and enrolled again at Otis, later studying at the School of Allied Arts before working in the art department of a prominent aircraft company. In 1968, after fifteen years in advertising art, he took the big step to fine art, painting all subjects, but soon discovering an identity and passion for Western subjects. Ron is a member of the American Artist of the Rockies.
