Born in Madison County, Texas in the 1870s, Collins worked for many saddleries including DE Walker (Visalia), Jepson & Sons (Los Angeles) and RT Frazier. He finally settled in Globe, Arizona where he “continued to dispense the best in leather goods, along with the best in authoritative Western history.”
