WR Boone

Bit/Spur Maker
1883-1958
BP: San Angelo, TX

Born in San Angelo, TX in 1883, Wallie learned spur making from his cousin, master craftsman and artist, Bob Boone. The majority of his bits and spurs were either silver steel (Allegheny Metal) or nickel-plated. Wallie published his own catalog and also sold through saddleries like Prosser Martin of San Angelo. He was a true horseman and perfectionist who would gladly exchange bits with a dissatisfied cowboy until he found the one that best suited his steed.
