The late Tyler Beard was a native Texan, so he naturally grew up in a boots-and-hat environment. At age three, he received his first pair of red-and-green Christmas boots, a gift from his parents--”the pair that started it all.” Tyler was considered the foremost expert on American West style. Tyler is the author of Lone Star Living: Texas Homes and Ranches (2003), The Cowboy Boot Book (1992), 100 Years of Western Wear (1993), and Art of the Boot (1999).
