LKL: Truscott, TX

Lived in Truscott until his death. Learned bit and spur making as a teenager while experimenting with blacksmithing equipment, making his first pair in the 1930s. Began stamping his name and pattern number in 1952. Much of Bayers’ personal collection is in the Panhandle Plains Museum in Canon, Texas.
